Taimi and NYC Pride Partnership: Strength in Solidarity

June, 25, New York City - Taimi is partnering with Heritage Of Pride, the nonprofit organization that plans and produces New York City’s official LGBTQIA+ Pride events.

Heritage of Pride works toward a future without discrimination where all people have equal rights under the law. They do this by producing LGBTQIA+ Pride events that inspire, educate, commemorate, and celebrate the diverse community.

We at Taimi believe that Pride Events are extremely important for the community. It’s our main channel of communicating our needs, showing ourselves, celebrating our lives and our love, and protesting injustices. Over the last 18 months, hundreds of anti-LGBTQ+ laws have been passed or submitted in the United States, and it’s seriously affecting the community. Taimi holds the belief that the current state of affairs is unacceptable. Thus, we actively advocate for the beauty and diversity of the LGBTQ+ community, encouraging individuals to express themselves and love without fear of prejudice or shame. We believe that what makes America Beautiful. “America The Beautiful” stands as a testament to the nation's fundamental principles of freedom and inclusivity, which apply to all, not just a privileged few. Any support for anti-LGBTQ+ laws goes against these core values of America.

That’s why we are incredibly proud to become form a partnership with NYC Pride because, as we all know, the whole movement started with the Stonewall Riots in 1969 in Greenwich Village, New York City.
