Taimi's story began in 2017 when Alex Pasykov — a tech expert with 10 years of experience in developing large social platforms and an outspoken ally to the LGBTQ+ community — co-founded the app alongside Jake Vygnan.
Back in the day, Taimi started as a dating app for gay men but quickly outgrew this concept after seeing a huge demand for a safe online space among people from all sides of the LGBTQ+ spectrum. So, in 2018 Taimi expanded and evolved into the most inclusive and versatile platform for LGBTQ+ individuals. Today Taimi is a global secure ecosystem for LGBTQ+ people featuring a social network, dating app, and streaming.
Taimi is the world's largest LGBTQ+ social network and home to millions of diverse people. The users on the platform represent the full spectrum of genders and sexual identities. Taimi community is growing rapidly, which became the most apparent in 2020, during COVID-19 restrictions and lockdowns. In 2020 alone, our community grew 2,5 times — from 3,5 million people in December 2019 to 9 million people in December 2020. In early March 2021, Taimi reached the milestone of 10 million users on the platform.
We value our users’ opinions and reviews. The feedback from Taimi users helps us upgrade the platform, implement new features, grow as a platform, and strive to be better.
Strong believers in diversity and outspoken fighters against prejudice, judgment, and harassment, Taimi’s experienced leaders are passionate about the company’s global mission of making the lives of LGBTQ+ people better.
