Deminonbinary typically refers to a person who partially identifies as non-binary. Deminonbinary individuals may or may not identify with other genders. They may also have a partial connection to other genders but not enough to identify as another gender.

Some deminonbinary people identify as transgender since fully identifying as a binary gender may create real physical discomfort for them. They may feel nonbinary but have somewhat of a connection to the binary genders as well.

According to Urban Dictionary, the word deminonbinary describes a gender where someone identifies partially, but not fully Nonbinary.

The term deminonbinary may be used by people who are partially non binary and have some connection to either femininity or masculinity. This term is usually used by those who feel little connection to the binary genders but do not feel completely feminine or masculine or fully nonbinary.

There are several equivalents of deminonbinary. The masculine equivalent is demiboy while the feminine is demigirl, there is also a neutral equivalent - demineutrois.

People also may identify as demiagender which means they are partially agender and non-binary.

It looks like the origin of the deminobinary label is unknown. There are several resources stating its use in the early 2010s. The earliest mention of the deminonbinary flag was in 2013.

Deminonbinary people can use a variety of pronouns. Most of them prefer gender neutral pronouns like they/them or neopronouns like xe/xem, ee/eem, ze/zir. Some deminonbinary people may use gender-specific pronouns like he/him or she/her. Remember, pronouns are an individual choice and should be respected no matter what.

Always try to share your pronouns in conversation and written communication. If in doubt, ask the person about their preferred pronouns or just use their name at all times.
