June, 6, New York City — Taimi is partnering with Goodparts, to create a product that celebrates The Art of Intimacy for Every Pride Body.
The LGBTQ+ community spends a lot of time preparing for the celebrations that are associated with Pride. For many people, that means hitting the gym with great intensity, dieting, and worrying about that flattering ensemble. But is it worth it? Is it healthy? We want to promote the idea that Pride is for everyone. The perfect body for pride is the one you have right now. Everybody deserves to be welcome and included. Isn’t that the purpose of Pride?
That’s why we invited queer artists, Eric Zindorf, Ohni Lisle, Payton Barronian, and Theodoor Grimes, to create artwork for a special edition lineup of lubricants from queer-owned personal care brand, Goodparts. Why them? Diversity, queerness, and a shared goal – to promote self-love.
Eric Zindorf (he/him) is a multi-disciplinary artist whose works explore a playful exercise of character and world-making.
Ohni Lisle (she/her) is a multi-disciplinary artist and illustrator working across digital and analog means of creation. Her works are expressions of bright colors and are often unified by a cheeky narrative.
Payton Barronian (he/him) is an illustrator and artist, his work rejecting the maxim that minimalism is a must — queering the standard slickness of commercial design.
Theodoor Grimes (they/he) is a Black digital artist known for his vibrant illustrations that center the queer experience of POC. Theodoor is entirely self-taught.
As a result, the product we have created together, externally and internally, represents fluidity and is something that works for everybody. A portion of proceeds from the sale of this project will go to an LGBTQ+ charity — Ali Forney Center: LGBT Youth Shelter and Services, whose mission is to protect homeless Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Questioning youths from the harms of homelessness and empower them with the tools they need to be independent.
“We are thrilled to partner with Taimi and these talented artists to encourage a more fun and open dialogue about healthy sex, particularly among LGBTQ+ individuals,” said Dave Shanfield, founder of Goodparts. “As a brand that is inspired by and rooted in the creative community of New York, this collaboration is close to our hearts and an incredibly fulfilling way to promote our mission while supporting local talent.”
”Our bodies are all we have in this world, and we take them for granted. Being nasty to yourself doesn’t help, it lessens your quality of life. If we could see ourselves from the lens of, say, the future, I think we’d all revel in what we have presently.” — says Ohni Lisle
“Not loving yourself is a waste of time. We are all hot!” — Payton Barronian adds.
“At Taimi, our mission is centered on promoting inclusivity and acceptance. From the very beginning, we have placed great emphasis on celebrating and accommodating all members of the LGBTQ+ community, ensuring their dating and sexual experiences are not only safe but also enjoyable and fulfilling. The collaboration with the Goodparts team has brought us immense joy, as it has enabled us to develop a product created specifically for queer individuals by members of the same community.” — says Diana Lysenko, Taimi’s Global Partnership Lead.
The limited lubes collection can be purchased on Goodparts starting June 6.
