Taimi has truly exciting news to share, our founder and CEO Alex Pasykov was recognized by Gay Times for his efforts to improve the lives of LGBTQ+ people throughout the world.

Not only was Alex given an award, he also grazed the cover of the latest Gay Times issue that hit the newsstands on November 27, 2020.

The Gay Times Honours Community Entrepreneurship Award has been awarded for Taimi’s ongoing commitment to keep LGBTQ+ people connected especially during the COVID-19 global pandemic.

Alex Pasykov, recently issued an open letter urging individuals to join forces to battle homophobia, biphobia and transphobia around the globe. In his letter Pasykov underlined the importance of being an ally to LGBTQ+ people.

“Being an ally is more than words,” Pasykov says. “It means that in your daily life, you have to speak up for equality. I understand that not every straight person is ready to be an ally, but I hope my story will encourage more and more people to come out as allies, to speak up, to fight, to raise awareness.”

Taimi’s tremendous efforts to keep more than 9 Million LGBTQ+ users connected in a safe and secure environment cannot be overlooked.

Taimi evolved from a dating app for gay men to a full-fledged LGBTQ+ platform that provides a wide range of services. The platform offers a social network that has custom groups, influencer content, and the latest news relevant to its users. Taimi also introduced a ton of features aimed to keep its audience even more connected during the pandemic. Recently, the platform launched live streams that were introduced during the premier Taimi Talks. Alyssa Edwards, Blair Imani, Chris Mosier, Jason Wimberly, Ts Madison and Monique Heart were the headliners of the unprecedented event.

The platform’s continued commitment to raising awareness while shining a spotlight on social issues and problems across the community is why Gay Times selected Alex Pasykov to be on the cover of the upcoming Winter 2020/21 issue.

In his Gay Times interview Pasykov says, “Although we get to enjoy freedoms in the West, there are still many social issues LGBTQ+ people face on a daily basis in the U.S., U.K., Canada, Australia. There are stories of bakeries refusing to bake cakes for LGBTQ+ weddings, photographers denying photo shoots to LGBTQ+ families. In my opinion, this is not the world we are supposed to live in. People should be valued for what they offer in terms of knowledge and skills not judged for who they are, their gender, sexual identity, orientation — none of that should matter.”

The Winter 2020/21 Issue of GAY TIMES Magazine which features Alex Pasykov on the cover and interviews with all the honorees will be available online, in store and on Apple News+ starting November 27, 2020.
