Now, what to watch? How about some films with queer representation and themes?

Fitting In
At first, Fitting In is a coming-of-age story with Maddie Ziegler playing a teenager experiencing love and the reality of her first sexual experience. Then, she’s diagnosed with MRKH a condition in which the uterus is missing or underdeveloped. The vaginal canal is also missing or significantly shortened.
After she discovers this about herself she has to contend with her views of femininity, her mother’s struggle with her own body and self-perception, and her sexuality. This is a smart, funny, touching movie that does an amazing job of representing an important part of the queer community.
Theatrical Release – February 2
Housekeeping For Beginners
Dita never really wanted to become a mother, but feels a maternal pull when it comes to her girlfriend’s two daughters. There is expected blended family conflict. However, the real story is in the way this untraditional family fights to stay together despite their differences. Housekeeping For Beginners should be a heartwarming movie for a laidback date.
Nationwide Theatrical Release – February

It also features Pedro Pascal, Beanie Feldstein, Matt Damon, and Bill Camp. The duo gets caught up in misadventures involving crime, but the specific details of the plot have been kept under wraps. It should be a wild ride in any case!

Queer
Queer is a historical romance set in 1940s Mexico. It’s told from the perspective of Daniel Craig’s character Lee. In the film, Lee has fled to Mexico City following a drug bust. There, he becomes involved with a group of bar owners and American expats. One of these is a much younger Navy veteran, Allerton who is played by Drew Starkey.
The entire film is an adaptation of the William Burroughs Novel Queer. The story is largely based on the author’s life, struggle with addiction, and relationship with the late Adelbert Lewis Marker (Allerton).
