How to Improve Jawline Male with Facial Exercises and No Chin Implants

Ready to give your jaw muscles a workout? Well, neck muscles too, as it’s time to bid farewell to the days of double chin and say hello to a new, more defined jawline with no plastic surgery!

If you’re tired of sagging skin, want to change your facial features, or simply prefer the look of a defined jawline, then follow our simple jawline exercises to help you achieve the chiseled jawline of your dreams!

Once you reach your exercise targets and your jaw is properly aligned, you’ll have a strong jawline you love to show off. If you’re already eager to flex your new healthy habits with a more masculine face, then we’ve got a list of apps to help you get more dates than Henry Cavill.

Why Might You Want a Sharp Jawline?

The neck muscles that sit at the front of our necks rarely get the workout they need to improve your jaw muscles. The front neck muscles are rarely exercised unless you specifically do jawline exercises to improve your facial muscles, leaving you with neck strain, neck pain, and excess fat that cannot be removed, even with a healthy diet.

Drinking water and eating a balanced diet with less added sugar can have the added benefit of improving the appearance of your neck and jaw, as well as the health of your mouth and teeth, yet it isn’t enough to tone that area of the body alone.

If you really want to reduce fat across the muscles in your jawline, then you need to do the right exercises!

These exercises have become more and more popular as a sharp jawline has become more fashionable. Due to this fashion, the rise in the number of people doing facial exercises for a sharp jawline is also pretty amazing.

Of course, not all people want to improve their jawline with these facial exercises, as some are given jaw exercises to prevent neck pain, move parts of the jaw forward, improve the health of their mouth and teeth, or even get rid of tightness in the chest.

Do Jawline Exercises Work Compared to Dermal Fillers or a Chin Lift?

If your appearance bothers you and you’re eager to achieve a more defined jawline, then exercises are a great place to start. If you’re really after a more defined look that makes you look younger than your age, then exercise might not be enough.

Some people use the exercises to strengthen the lips, tongue, shoulders, and other parts of the body before doing more drastic things like using dermal fillers or hyaluronic acid to get rid of excess skin and the appearance of ageing. Hyaluronic acid can be useful to help tighten the skin on the jaw and jawline area, but it will not have the same toning effect as doing exercise for the jawline does.

We recommend visiting your doctor if you’re experiencing any pain in your body, age related issues, or have larger amounts of fat before using our jawline exercises to strengthen the area. If they give you the green light to do some jawline exercises, then you’ll be well on your way to a more defined set of muscles in no time!

Exercises for a Defined Jawline

Are you ready to kick those mouth muscles into shape? Or maybe you just want a little lift and tone to wash the age away? Here are some of the most useful jaw exercises to help you avoid dermal fillers and slowly bring your defined look back!

Fish Face/Vowel Sounds

Our first exercise is to tone the jaw for a more defined look. Some people call it the fish face, but really, you’re making vowel sounds.

Simply open your mouth wide and say the sounds “O” and “E” in the most exaggerated way possible. Make sure you do not show your teeth or let them touch. Do three sets of fifteen repetitions of this jaw exercise to help get the muscles in your jawline and chin moving.

Keep your chin up and let your mouth and jaw do all the work!

Neck Curl Ups

Think of this move as an abdominal curl for your neck: lying on your back with your tongue pressed to the roof of your mouth to activate the front neck muscles, gently tuck your chin toward your chest and lift your head about two inches without engaging your stomach or jutting your chin forward. Begin with a manageable amount and slowly increase as your strength improves, taking your time because these muscles are often underdeveloped and pushing too hard too quickly can lead to neck strain. If you do apply pressure to the jawline, you can experience jaw injuries. Should you feel pain in the jawline or area around the jaw, have a rest from doing these exercises, or should the jaw pain continue, consult your doctor.

Tongue Twister

This tongue twister exercise focuses on the muscles beneath the chin by placing your tongue on the roof of your mouth just behind your teeth, pressing it upward to create full contact and gentle tension, then humming to produce a vibrating sound that activates the area; aim to repeat the movement in several sets as your strength allows. Make sure your ears stay relaxed as you carefully work the jawline muscles to help lift and shape the skin around the lower jaw. Some people experience creating a slightly different shape of the lip area by doing this exercise, as it really helps target the area of the jaw surrounding the chin and just behind the chin.

Tongue Position

Another way to tone the muscles in your jawline or just get them to look more defined for a photo is to press the top of your tongue against the roof of your mouth as you relax your lower jaw and lower lip.

You can also try chewing gum. However, chewing gum is one of the jawline exercises you can do too many of. If you experience pain in the chin or jaw area, then give this exercise a little break for a while.
