Northside

The northside is a neighborhood in which many in the queer community live, thrive, and operate businesses, alongside students, artists, young professionals, and families. Blocks of bars and clubs to join in on the fun.

Over the Rhine

An eclectic neighborhood on the north edge of the downtown area; preserved historic district with 19th century Italian architecture; widely diverse residents including a large LGBTQ population. This neighborhood is fiercely proud of its diversity.

Rosie’s Tavern is a popular queer hangout located on east 7th St in the Covington neighborhood – amazing food, cheerful patrons, great food, drink, positive atmosphere, and plenty of fun.

Leapin Lizard Lounge

Another hotspot with a casual environment in the Clifton neighborhood – large patio, pool tables, and even a jukebox. The patio doubles as a dance floor. People go for happy hour and stay for the great bar food and the social vibe.

Home Base Tavern on Vine Street

Sitting on a popular corner in Clifton, this is a bar owned by a queer woman Karaoke on Tuesday, drink specials, and free pool on Wednesday, and open mic on Thursday. Patio is open year-round.

There are Pride events, film festivals, and a host of other activities sponsored by the LGBTQ population and through key partnerships, such as those with Cincinnati Pride and the Gay, Lesbian, Straight Education Network (GLSEN). Cincinnati Pride

Held in June of every year, this is the time for the queer community and its allies to grab the lively vibe and enjoy the fun and safe event. The event is family friendly and filled with a parade and a festival at Cincy’ Sawyer Point Part. Lots of live entertainment, food, booths of community organizations.

OutReels Cincinnati

This is an annual film festival that focuses on queer cinema. This continues over several days and includes discussions with filmmakers and other professionals from the film industry. And there’s always Cincy’s nightlife of gay bars throughout the downtown and surrounding areas, venues just short walks away for the diverse crowds to explore.
