Research shows that gay womxn often hide their sexual orientation and identity at work, in fact they are twice as unlikely to be out as gay man.
Unfortunately in many places around the world lesbians tend to face double discrimination. Identifying as a woman who is LGBTQ+ can often come with awful consequences in societies that are misogynistic and homophobic.
So it is crucial to have visibility weeks and days that celebrate and support LBGTQ+ womxn.

So be sure to celebrate all the incredible lesbians in your life this week, but remember being strong, resilient, proud is not limited to a calendar!
