Taimi Introduces New Logo, Brand Identity, and Universal Design System

    The overhaul represents the LGBTQ+ platform’s two-year evolution.

    Taimi, the first LGBTQ+ platform featuring a social network and dating app, just got a rebranding. The company introduced a new logo, brand identity, and an upgraded app interface. To unify all projects, integrate the design into the app’s code, and simplify further tech and visual app development, Taimi also created a universal design system. It is a set of digital tools for designers, developers, and testers meant to simplify the work process and improve interface quality.

    This is the first major redesign of the company's identity and branding since its launch in 2018. New branding considers the changing environment of the digital world. It applies to the many new branching projects, social initiatives, and tech features Taimi plans to introduce in the future.

    “When developing the new branding, our main focus was on the diversity of our platform and our users, and how crucial it is to represent this feature in our new identity. Our new brand identity allows us to fully utilize any colors for our visual communication without prioritizing one over the other. Rainbow gradients and color mixing symbolize the diversity of the LGBTQ+ community. This branding allows us all to appreciate how unique Taimi users are — each of 8 million people!”

    The primary feature of Taimi’s new design system is the flexible architecture. Each element, component, and icon takes a specific place in the hierarchy. It allows developers and designers to exponentially expand and grow the system without any risk of collapsing it. As the developers point out, no matter how many icons are added (be it hundreds or thousands), the system will run smoothly. Currently, the icon library consists of over 5,000 elements that can be used both by UI developers and the marketing team.
