The Drum Awards Festival is an annual lighthouse event for the global marketing community celebrating every key marketing discipline. Organized by one of the world’s leading marketing and media publishers, The Drum, it is one of the world’s largest competitions and contributes to the World Creative Rankings, alongside other major industry awards.
The nominated campaign showcases the resilience of LGBTQ+ communities in challenging environments across the United States. This initiative, executed in collaboration with acclaimed marketing agency Known, sheds light on the adversities faced by LGBTQ+ individuals in several states, including Georgia, Oklahoma, Florida, Tennessee, Texas, and Colorado. Despite facing media bans in some of these regions, the campaign succeeded thanks to the unwavering support of media owners who championed LGBTQ+ rights by generously donating millions of dollars’ worth of advertising inventory.
