Pride is Back! TAIMI supports Gayborhood Pride set to kick off this weekend
The live streaming Gayborhood Pride in partnership with TAIMI and with the help of a large network of LGBTQ+ influencers is committed to keeping the tradition of Pride alive.
This year, the effects of COVID-19 pandemic are being felt throughout the world. Social distancing and self isolation are now the new norm. This means, most public gatherings and events scheduled to take place during the summer are now either postponed or cancelled altogether. Pride festivals are no exception.
For LGBTQ+ people Pride is more than just a party, it is about equality, human rights, history and acceptance. For over 50 years, Pride has been a quintessential part of the summer season in virtually every corner of the globe.
Unfortunately, this year millions of LGBTQ+ people throughout the world will not have the opportunity to express themselves freely, to speak out against homophobia in public and to raise awareness out in the open for millions of others to experience.
The magnitude of the global coronavirus outbreak is yet to be calculated. However, TAIMI is committed to making sure our users are able to stay connected during the times of pandemic. Therefore, TAIMI is jumping on board to bring Pride back.
“To TAIMI — each and every user is important. It is so crucial for people to be able to express themselves freely, to showcase their pride at all times. So, TAIMI is ecstatic to partner with Gayborhood Pride to bring Pride to everyone this year. We are happy to be a part of a digital Pride festival that will bring Pride back to the world in 2020”, says Alex Pasykov, founder of TAIMI
The live streaming Gayborhood Pride in partnership with TAIMI and with the help of a large network of LGBTQ+ influencers is committed to keeping the tradition of Pride alive. The event is set to give an opportunity for cities with canceled or postponed Prides to showcase, celebrate and create revenue for the local LGBTQ+ artists, nonprofits and businesses.
“The loss of Pride festivals around the world meant we had to find a solution to be sure that the LGBTQ+ people knew they weren’t alone in these trying times. This is a testament of what happens when you bring together a marginalized community, their allies, a global pandemic and technology. We are sending the message that our fight for equal rights doesn’t stop,” says Todd Murray, Partner and Creative Director at Gayborhood Group.
At each digital Gayborhood Pride, up to 100,000 highly engaged attendees will enjoy the best parts of Pride while maintaining social distancing, staying safe and celebrating together from the comfort of their homes while uniting to send the message that together we are stronger. TAIMI users will also be able to get free general admission tickets to Gayborhood Prides. Together, we can show the world that we are united and strong!
TAIMI is inclusive to all LGBTQI+ users regardless of where they identify on the gender and sexuality spectrum.
